Gionee is a Chinese smartphone manufacturer most of you have probably heard of by now. This company had introduced a number of devices thus far this year, though we don’t get to see that many of them outside of Asia. This company had launched the Gionee S6 Pro in India last week, following its launch in China earlier this year. That being said, Gionee has just introduced yet another smartphone, read on.
The Gionee P7 Max is the company’s new smartphone, this is yet another really well-specced mid-ranger by Gionee. The Gionee P7 Max is made out of metal, as you can see in the provided image, and it sports three capacitive keys below its display, overview, home and back, respectively. The loudspeaker is placed on the back of this device, while you’ll find a set of physical keys on its right-hand side. This smartphone might seem almost bezel-less at first, but unfortunately, it has black bars all around its display, and they seem to be quite noticeable, at least in the provided image, as we don’t really have a picture where the display is turned on, unfortunately. Gionee’s branding is present on the back of this device, and it’s quite noticeable actually.
The Gionee P7 Max sports a 5.5-inch fullHD (1920 x 1080) IPS display, along with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of native storage. This smartphone is fueled by MediaTek’s MT6595 64-bit octa-core processor running at 2.2GHz, which is quite a capable SoC, even though it technically belongs in the mid-range segment of the market. The 13-megapixel camera is placed on the back of this phone, while you’ll find a 5-megapixel shooter on the phone’s front side. Android 6.0 Marshmallow comes pre-installed on this phone, and on top of it, you’ll get Gionee’s custom UI called Amigo UI 3.2. This device also packs in a 3,100mAh battery, and it is not removable, just in case you were wondering. So, how much does this device costs? Well, it costs NPR 21,999 ($205), and it is available only in Nepal for the time being, but it seems like it might ship to more markets in the near future.
