Over the last few weeks speculation had been mounting about an upcoming LeEco event which was due to take place. There were two clear reasons for the heightened level of interest in this LeEco event. The first was that this event effectively marked the entrance of LeEco to the US market, while the second is that it seemed as though LeEco was planning on unveiling and/or announcing a number of different products. Well, the event did take place today and true to form, LeEco did indeed announce a wealth of new products.
Of particular interest was the new TV sets that LeEco announced. In total there are four TVs which are now set to become available in the US, with three of them forming the basis of the LeEco Super4 X-series. These are designed to be somewhat affordable TVs with their sizes ranging from 43-inches up to 65-inches. However, the fourth option is the big one, literally. Not only is this physically the biggest of the four announced TVs, but it is also the flagship model, this is the LeEco uMax85.
As the name suggests, this is a very big TV and one which comes in at 85-inches. However, it is also a 4K supported TV and one which also offers support for HDR10 and Dolby Vision, as well as audio features from Harman Kardon. Inside, the uMax85 is packing 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. Not to mention, this is a TV which comes with the Android TV platform included. Which does mean that overall this is quite the feature-rich and spec-heavy TV. As you might expect, this also does mean that it is a pricey TV as well. However, LeEco is looking to keep things competitive with the uMax85, compared to similar TVs from other manufacturers. As such, those interested in picking up the uMax85 will be able to buy this one for only $4,999. In fact, those who buy earlier enough will also be able to take advantage of a limited-time instant rebate promotion LeEco is running where $1,000 will be taken off the final price. Meaning the overall cost of the uMax85 will only be $3,999. You can check out the uMax85 in more detail by taking a look at our hands-on images below.
