The Honor 8 was first unveiled in China in July this year, and since then, the flagship smartphone has been launched in many markets, including in the US and Europe. Now, Honor, a sub brand of Huawei, has brought its smartphone to the shores of India. However, that is not all, as the company has also launched the Honor 8 Smart alongside the Honor 8 in India. The Honor 8 Smart seems to be a watered down version of the Honor 8 and it does not come with a dual camera setup. If you would like to know more about the Honor 8 Smart, read on.

The Honor 8 Smart comes with decent specs, such as a 5.2-inch Full HD In-Cell Touch display with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels. Under the hood, it packs an octa-core Kirin 650 System-on-Chip, clocked at 2.0GHz. When it comes to memory, the Honor 8 Smart comes with 2GB of RAM, and 16GB of internal storage which is expandable up to 128GB via a microSD card slot. For optics, it comes with a 13-megapixel rear shooter with an aperture of f/2.0, while the front sports a 8-megapixel shooter which also comes with an aperture of f/2.0. Encased within the aluminium-magnesium alloy frame is a 3,000 mAh battery and also packs a fingerprint scanner on its rear. The Honor 8 Smart runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with EMUI 4.1 on top. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS/ A-GPS, NFC, and an IR blaster.

On top of that, Honor launched its latest entry-level device, the Honor Holly 3, and it is the first ‘Made in India’ smartphone by the Chinese company. The device packs a Kirin 620 CPU backed by 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. For optics, it comes with a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 8-megapixel front camera. It comes with a 3,100 mAh battery and is running on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with EMUI 4.1 on top. The Honor 8 will be sold for Rs. 29,999 ($448) while the Honor 8 Smart will be retailing for Rs. 19,999 ($299) and the Honor Holly 3 can be purchased for Rs. 9,999 ($149).
