Nomu Releases A New Video, Water & Dust Resistance In Focus

Nomu is a company many of you probably don’t know about, at least not yet. This is a smartphone manufacturing company, and like many other smartphone manufacturers, this company had introduced a number of devices this year. The most notable announcements by the company, at least lately, are the Nomu S10, S20 and S30 smartphones. These are not exactly high-end devices, but they have some welcomed features, and also nice specs having their price points in mind.

We’ve talked about each of these devices separately already, but the company has just released a new promo video for these three rugged devices. Now, for those of you who did not know, the Nomu S10, S20 and S30 are all IP68 certified, which essentially means they’re water and dust resistant (to a certain degree). In the video, which is embedded down below, you can see the Nomu S10, S20 and S30 in action in all kinds of different scenarios. First, the company placed these three smartphones in water simply to prove that they work afterwards. In the second clip, they’re showing off the dust resistance of their (relatively) new products, while you can also see the company proves that all three devices can survive in 1.5 meters underwater for up to 30 minutes. In order to prove this, the company has decided to tie one of the three devices and keep it in a muddy river for a certain period of time, which sure is a bit extreme, but the phone did really great in this test. The last clip in this compilation shows that you can even drop one of these phones in mud, and you won’t have any problems after that, all you’ll have to do is wash them device off and you’re good to go.

All in all, if you’re looking for an affordable rugged smartphone, these three devices are certainly some of the options out there. The Nomu S10 is the most affordable one, it sports a 5-inch 720p display, 2GB of RAM and is fueled by the MT6737T 64-bit quad-core SoC. The Nomu S20 comes with a 5-inch 720p display, 3GB of RAM and is fueled by the same SoC as the Nomu S10. The Nomu S30 is the most powerful smartphone here, it sports a 5.5-inch fullHD display, 4GB of RAM, and it is fueled by the Helio P10 64-bit octa-core SoC. This phone also comes with a 5,000mAh battery, and a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera by Sony. It is also worth noting that these three devices are now more affordable than usual, at least until October 27th when the company’s first global sales event ends.
