Huawei is currently the third-largest smartphone manufacturer in the world, and quite a busy company as it is. This China-based company had introduced quite a few smartphones this year, including their Huawei P9 and P9 Plus flagships. Now, the company had announced the all-new variant of the Huawei Nova (a 4GB RAM model) yesterday, and a new report claims that the company will introduce their new flagship SoC, the Kirin 960, later this month. That being said, the company’s upcoming Mate 9 flagship phablet has been leaking for months now, and a new leak has just surfaced, read on.
The Huawei Mate 9 is actually expected to be fueled by the aforementioned Kirin 960 64-bit octa-core processor, which is expected to land on October 19th. Now, according to a new leak, the Huawei Mate 9 will sport a dual camera setup on the back, similar to the setup we’ve seen on the Huawei P9 devices. One camera is said to pack in a 20-megapixel sensor, while the other one will sport a 12-megapixel sensor, both of which will have Leica’s lenses on top of them. The source also says that the Mate 9 will feature an 8-megapixel shooter on its front side, just in case you were wondering. The Mate 9 will ship with the so-called ‘Super Charge Technology’, if this rumor is legit, which will be able to get this phone from 0%-50% in only 5 minutes, which seems unrealistic, but this rumor is kinda sketchy altogether, so take it with a grain of salt. Now, in addition to all this, the Mate 9 is expected to ship with a 5.9-inch fullHD display (at least according to the new info), even though earlier rumors claimed we can expect to see a 5.7-inch panel on this phablet.
The Huawei Mate 9 is expected to land in both 4GB and 6GB RAM variants, and rumors claim that it will be available in 64GB, 128GB and 256GB storage models as well. The most affordable Mate 9 unit is expected to cost $480, while the most expensive one will be priced at $705, at least if rumors are to be believed.
