While T-Mobile promptly announced earlier this morning that they would begin selling the LG V20 smartphone this week with pre-orders starting today, Verizon has just recently announced that the device will go up for sale this Thursday via their website, and later this month on October 27th, which is just a week out from their online sales, Verizon will begin selling the LG V20 in their retail locations as well. At this time Verizon has not yet mentioned what their pricing will be for this device, but based on T-Mobile’s pricing for the LG V20 which is set at a price of $30 a month for 24 months plus a $50 upfront cost, the LG V20 on Verizon is likely to be available at or around $770.
That said, Verizon has stated that they will share their official pricing for the phone later this week, so it’s likely that they will be making the announcement on their cost for the LG V20 sometime between later today and Wednesday, as they will probably want to announce the pricing officially before the phone goes up for sale. They have also stated that there would be promotions available with the sale of the phone although they did not mention what those would be at this time. The LG V20 was officially announced earlier this year in the Summer, and has already gone up for pre-order at some carriers, such as AT&T, as of the first week of October. Sprint has also stated that they would begin selling the device on October 28th, so it’s likely that next week is the U.S.-wide launch for the phone officially at any of the retailers who are going to carry the phone in the first place.
The LG V20 comes equipped with a 5.7-inch Quad HD display with a resolution of 2560 x 1440, and it has a secondary display that sits at the very top of the device for notifications and quick access to app shortcuts. On the back it carries a dual 16MP main camera, and on the front it holds a 5MP secondary camera for selfies and video chat. It’s powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor which is paired with an Adreno 530 GPU for the graphics processing, as well as 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage space that is expandable via a microSD card. It also comes running on Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box. For power it has a 3,200mAh battery inside which should be plenty to keep it going all day and then some.
