The Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge are amongst the best smartphones of this year. The Galaxy S7 Edge, in particular, offers a really sleek design, and thanks to its curved display sides, the phone is quite unique as well. Now, the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge have been immensely successful for Samsung, though we cannot say the same for the Galaxy Note 7, a troublesome device which will cost the company billions and billions of dollars. The company was first forced to recall this phablet due to battery issues, and even though they’ve shipped new units that should not have such problems, those ‘fixed’ units started exploding too, and the company decided to stop selling the phone altogether.
Now, in order to make up for the Galaxy Note 7 woes, Samsung will really have to step up when it comes to the Galaxy S8 flagship which is going to be announced in the first quarter next year, quite probably during the Mobile World Congress (MWC), as per usual. We’ve already seen quite a few rumors regarding this smartphone, and the latest ones say that we can expect significant changes in the phone’s hardware (compared to previous iterations), and that the phone might ship with a 4K display and the Viv AI assistant. That being said, a new Galaxy S8 concept video just surfaced, and it’s embedded down below. Do keep in mind that this is not a leak or anything of the sort, this is a third-party concept video which is not exactly realistic, but it’s fun to watch, that’s for sure. A device pictured here is quite futuristic, the designer has envisioned a bezel-less smartphone here, and when we say bezel-less, we mean it, this handset has not bezels at all, its whole front side consists out of a display (a 5.5-inch QHD display). Needless to say, such design is not realistic whatsoever, and it would probably be really hard to hold such a phone and use it due to lack of bezels. In any case, this phone also has a fingerprint scanner built into the display, and there are three physical buttons visible here, volume rocker ones (two of them) on the left, and the power / lock button on the right. There are two camera sensors on the back, and below them, you’ll notice a dual-LED flash along with an additional sensor, quite probably a heart-rate sensor.
Furthermore, the back side of this phone seems to be made out of glass, and the device is fueled by the Exynos 8895 / Snapdragon 830 SoC. The designer also shows off various color variants of this smartphone in his video, the Red, Light Blue, Dark Blue, Purple and Yellow color variants, to be more precise. As already mentioned, this design is quite unrealistic, but it’s at least fun to watch.
