Xiaomi Mi Note 2 Specifications

The Xiaomi Mi Note and Mi Note Pro were introduced back in January last year as the company’s flagship phablets. The company was expected to release their successor(s) in Q1 this year, but that did not happen, instead, Xiaomi made us wait until October. The company has just introduced their new flagship phablet, the Mi Note 2, and we’ve already covered its main announcement in a separate article. We’re actually here to take a closer look at its specifications, essentially list down everything that might interesting you, read on.

The Xiaomi Mi Note 2 is made out of metal and glass, both its front and back side are curved. This smartphone sports a 5.7-inch fullHD (1920 x 1080) Flexible OLED display (77.2% screen-to-body ratio, 110% NTSC color gamut, 100,000:1 contrast ratio) along with 4GB / 6GB of LPDDR4 RAM and 64GB / 128GB of internal storage (UFS 2.0). This smartphone is fueled by the Snapdragon 821 64-bit quad-core processor clocked at 2.35GHz, which is Qualcomm’s most powerful chip to date. This processor ships with the Adreno 530 GPU for graphics, in case you were wondering. The 22.56-megapixel camera (Sony’s iMX318 Exmor RS sensor, EIS) is placed on the back of the Mi Note 2, and an 8-megapixel snapper (Sony’s IMX268 Exmor RS sensor) can be found on the phone’s front side. The 4,070mAh is also included here, and it is not removable, you do get Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging here, though.

The Mi Note 2 comes with a 24bit Hi-Fi HD audio, it has the AQSTIC audio processor. NFC support is also included here, out of the box, and the Mi Note 2 also comes with a high-precision GPS module. Xiaomi has actually built-in a secondary chip where which helps GPS be even more accurate, says the company, it is 4 times more accurate in urban environments thanks to this. Now, as far as internet connectivity goes, Wi-Fi is, of course, included here, and so is 4G LTE. The Mi Note 2 (global variant) actually comes with global LTE bands, 37 bands, 6 types. The Xiaomi Mi Note 2 comes in Piano Black and Glacier Silver color variants. The 4GB RAM + 64GB storage and 6GB RAM + 128GB storage Chinese variants of the phone are priced at 2,799 Yuan ($413) and 3,299 Yuan ($487), respectively, while the global model (6GB RAM + 128GB storage) costs 3,499 Yuan ($516).
