Xiaomi's CEO: Xiaomi Mi Note 2 Will Surprise You

Xiaomi had recently introduced two high-end smartphones, the Xiaomi Mi 5s and Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus. The Xiaomi Mi 5s is a smaller, 5.15-inch smartphone, which is considered to be a successor to the company’s flagship smartphone for this year, the Xiaomi Mi 5. The Xiaomi Mi 5s, on the other hand, is a larger handset which sports a 5.7-inch display, and is the company’s current flagship phablet. That will change soon though, as Xiaomi is expected to introduce the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 later this month or perhaps in November. The company’s CEO had said recently that the Mi Note 2 had entered the mass production stage, which essentially means that we’ll get to see this phone released in the coming months. Well, the company’s CEO has just decided to tease the arrival of the Mi Note 2 yet again, read on.

Lei Jun, Xiaomi’s CEO, has said that the Mi Note 2 will come with a surprise, though he, of course, did not reveal what can we expect, he did not even give us a hint. Now, we’ve seen tons of rumors and leaks when it comes to this phone, and have seen various different info popping up online. Is the company’s CEO referring to the price of the Mi Note 2 perhaps? Rumors did say that this will be quite an expensive smartphone, at least by Xiaomi’s standards, is it possible it will be more affordable than we might think? Is the company’s CEO referring to the design of this phablet maybe? Well, we don’t know, but according to various leaks, we can expect this handset to arrive in both flat and curved display variants, while its specifications will be high-end, no matter which way you’re looking at it.

If rumors are anything to go by, the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 will sport a 5.7-inch QHD (2560 x 1440) display (fullHD variant was mentioned as well), along with 6GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. Xiaomi will, quite probably, offer more than one storage variant of this handset, so keep that in mind. Two 12-megapixel snappers are expected to be included on the back of the Mi Note 2, and Android 6.0 Marshmallow will probably come pre-installed on the device, along with the company’s MIUI 8 OS.
