Over 200,000 LG V20 Units Sold In The US

LG officially unveiled its latest flagship, the LG V20, just couple of months back, on September 6th, and the device happens to be the successor to last year’s LG V10. Over a month later on October 28, the LG V20 was made available in the US and now the South Korean company behind the smartphone has revealed some facts regarding the reception of the LG V20 in the US.

For starters, LG has stated that their latest smartphone is more popular than its predecessor, the LG V10. According to the company, about 20,000 LG V20 units are being sold in the US each day, which is two times more units compared to last years LG V10. Overall, the company has managed to sell over 200,000 units in the US, over the past few weeks since its release in the country. In a posting on its website, the company also mentions that an LG V20 ad posted on YouTube and which features actor, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, has managed to garner over 9.8 million views since being uploaded three weeks ago. The LG V20 is currently available from all major US carriers and the device retails between $750-$800 without a contract.

The LG V20 happens to come with a 5.7-inch QuadHD Quantum Dot IPS LCD display, while a secondary ticker display is positioned just above the main display. For protection, the entire front of the device is protected by Corning’s Gorilla Glass 4 while the body is MIL-STD 810G certified. Powering the device is a Snapdragon 820 processor while the Adreno 530 GPU handles graphics. Under the hood, you’ll find 4GB of RAM, along with 64GB of internal storage. On top of that, storage can be boosted up to 2TB via the microSD card slot located on the device. As far as optics are concerned, two cameras can be found on the rear, one sporting a 16-megapixel sensor, while the comes with an 8-megapixel sensor, while the dual-LED flash is also included. For selfie taking, the company has included a 5-megapixel sensor. A USB Type-C port on the bottom of the device can be used to charge the 3,200 mAh removable battery included here.
