HTC did not exactly introduce a ton of devices this year, but they did push out some really interesting smartphones though. The HTC 10 is the company’s flagship, this handset was introduced back in April, and it has been available for quite some time now. The company had announced the HTC Desire 10 Pro and Desire 10 Lifestyle earlier this year as well, and the HTC Bolt landed on Sprint quite recently. Well, this Taiwan-based smartphone manufacturing company has just announced yet another smartphone, the HTC 10 evo, which is essentially a handset identical to the HTC Bolt which landed on Sprint quite recently, read on.
The HTC 10 evo is actually a European variant of the HTC Bolt. The HTC 10 evo is made out of metal, and it looks identical to the HTC Bolt, while it also resembles the HTC 10 quite a bit. This phone features a 5.5-inch QHD (2560 x 1440) display, 3GB of RAM and 32GB of expandable internal storage. The device is fueled by the Snapdragon 810 64-bit octa-core processor, and a 3,200mAh battery is included on the inside, while it is not removable. Speaking of the battery, you do get Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 2.0 fast charging here, just in case you were wondering. The 16-megapixel OIS shooter (BSI sensor, PDAF, f/2.0 aperture) is placed on the back of the HTC 10 evo, and an 8-megapixel camera (BSI sensor) can be found on the front side of this smartphone. HTC’s BoomSound adaptive audio is also included here, and it is hi-res audio certified, while it also comes with hi-res audio stereo recording.
Android 7.0 Nougat comes pre-installed on the HTC 10 evo, and on top of it, you’ll get HTC’s Sense UI, as per usual when it comes to HTC’s phones. This device is IP57 certified for water and dust resistance, and it comes with a Type-C USB 2.0 port which is placed on the bottom of the device. The phone measures 153.59 x 77.3 x 8.09mm, while it weighs 174 grams. Having said that, HTC is not partnering with any carriers in Europe for the launch of this smartphone, as they did in the US with Sprint in HTC Bolt’s case. HTC will sell this device online only, which is very odd for the company as this is the first time they’re doing something like that. We still don’t know when will this phone become available for purchase, but it will cost between £450 and £500 in the UK.
