The Huawei Mate 9 Porsche Design comes with a home button below the display, which doubles as the device’s fingerprint scanner. The Huawei Mate 9 Porsche Design sports a 5.5-inch QHD (2560 x 1440, 534ppi) curved AMOLED display. This phone, much like the regular Mate 9, comes with the HiSilicon Kirin 960 64-bit octa-core processor clocked at 2.4GHz, which is Huawei’s home-baked processor, and it is made using a 16nm manufacturing process. This SoC, ships with the Mali-G71 MP8 GPU. The Huawei Mate 9 Porsche Design packs in 6GB of RAM and 256GB of expandable native storage.

Speaking of storage, you can expand this device’s storage using the second SIM card slot which acts as a microSD slot as well. The 20-megapixel (Monochrome) and 12-megapixel (RGB, f/2.2 aperture, OIS) camera sensors are available on the back of the Mate 9 Porsche Design, we’re looking at Sony’s sensors and Leica’s lenses here. These are the same sensors that Huawei included in a regular Mate 9 handset, just in case you were wondering. You’ll also find a 4,000mAh battery on the inside of this smartphone, and it is not removable, but it comes with fast charging, so-called SuperCharge fast charging which will charge up this handset from 0% to 100% in 90 minutes, says Huawei. Android 7.0 Nougat comes out of the box here with Huawei’s Emotion (EMUI) 5.0 skin, which is Huawei’s newest Android skin, and this is the first device it is available on. The Huawei Mate 9 Pro measures 152 x 75 x 7.5mm, while it weighs 169 grams. The Huawei Mate 9 Porsche Design comes in Graphite Black color variant only.
