As many of you know, Huawei had introduced two flagship devices quite recently, the Huawei Mate 9 and Porsche Design Mate 9. Now, the company had introduced these two devices in Munich, Germany, and they’ve scheduled a press event in China for today. Well, the company has just announced the Huawei Mate 9 and Porsche Design Mate 9 in China, and in addition to those two devices, Huawei has also introduced a third smartphone, a device that surfaced earlier today, read on.
The Huawei Mate 9 Pro surfaced a couple of hours ago, and that’s the phone that Huawei introduced in China. The Huawei Mate 9 Pro is basically identical to the Porsche Design Mate 9 in both terms of the design and specs, but it does not come with the ‘Porsche Design’ branding, and it’s actually quite a bit more affordable than the semi-luxury Porsche Design Mate 9. We’ve already covered both the Huawei Mate 9 and Porsche Design Mate 9 quite extensively, so you can read about those two phones on the site as both specs and the design are identical to their international counterparts, we’re here to talk more about the Huawei Mate 9 Pro.
The Huawei Mate 9 Pro is a metal-clad smartphone which sports a 5.5-inch QHD (2560 x 1440) curved AMOLED display, along with 4GB / 6GB of RAM and 64GB / 128GB of internal storage. This smartphone is fueled by the Kirin 960 64-bit octa-core processor, along with the Mali-G71 MP8 GPU. The 20-megapixel and 12-megapixel cameras are placed on the Huawei Mate 9 Pro, and Leica’s lenses are placed on top of them. An 8-megapixel snapper can be found on the front side of this phone, and a 4,000mAh battery is also a part of this package. Android 7.0 Nougat comes pre-installed here, and on top of it, you’ll be able to find Huawei’s Emotion UI (EMUI) 5.0 user interface.
This smartphone measures 152 x 75 x 7.5mm, and its 4GB and 6GB RAM variants are priced at 4,699 Yuan ($687) and 5,299 Yuan ($775) in China, which makes this phone more expensive than the regular Mate 9, and quite a bit more affordable than the ‘Porsche Design’ Mate 9 which is priced at 8,999 Yuan ($1,316) in the country. We still don’t know whether the Huawei Mate 9 Pro will be available outside of China, but we somehow doubt it, otherwise the company would have announced it in Munich alongside the Huawei Mate 9 and Porsche Design Mate 9.
