Is This Meizu's Bezel-Less Competitor To The Xiaomi Mi MIX?

Xiaomi had introduced their long-awaited flagship phablet recently, the Xiaomi Mi Note 2. Now, alongside the Mi Note 2, the company had introduced yet another high-end phablet, a device nobody expected, the Xiaomi Mi MIX. This is Xiaomi’s innovative 6.4-inch bezel-less phablet, it comes with a 91.3% screen-to-body ratio, and it’s quite captivating when you lay your eyes on it. Now, the Xiaomi Mi MIX is already available in China, Xiaomi had already sold a number of units as part of the first flash sale, and the second flash sale is coming. Well, it seems like one of Xiaomi’s competitors is working on their very own bezel-less device as well, read on.

The company we’re here to talk about is Meizu, a well-known Chinese smartphone manufacturer that might not be at the very top of the Chinese market, but they’re getting there. Meizu had released their new flagship smartphone a couple of days ago, the Meizu PRO 6s, and it seems like they’re working on a bezel-less device as well, at least according to the latest leak. If you take a look at the gallery down below, you’ll get to see a bezel-less device which seems to sport an even higher screen-to-body ratio than the Xiaomi Mi MIX, the device is made out of its display and the frame through and through. According to rumors, this smartphone is expected to land in China on December 24th, which is Christmas Eve and it’s a Saturday, which makes this rumor kind of hard to believe.

Now, this smartphone does look great, but we’re not exactly sure it’s real, it seems more like a concept of some sort, though on the other hand that would probably have been our reaction to the Xiaomi Mi MIX as well, so… anything is possible. The device that is shown off down below will sport a fingerprint scanner, if real, of course, and we’re looking at Qualcomm’s Ultrasonic Fingerprint scanner here most probably. The fingerprint scanner will be placed below the display, and the power / lock and volume rocker buttons are placed on the right-hand side of this device. The phone does look really stunning in these images, and pretty much everyone who loves mobile technology probably wants this to become a reality. Well, stay tuned, we’ll keep an eye on leaks and rumors in China, and will share more images / info if something pops up.
