Pokemon GO's December Update to bring 100 New Pokemon

Pokemon GO was one of the most popular games to come in out in quite some time, in fact it became the most popular in record time, and now it appears that Niantic Labs is preparing to bring in a ton of new Pokemon. It’s being reported that the update coming next month will bring in about 100 new Pokemon to the game. It’s also slated to bring in Legendary Pokemon and player-versus-player (PVP) battles in the update. The legendary Pokemon set to come in this update do also include Mew and Mewto, which are two Pokemon that players have been eagerly awaiting. This news comes from an analyst, and the rumors aren’t all that far fetched, as these are all features and such that Niantic Labs has talked about publicly, coming to the game in the next few updates.

When Pokemon GO launched over the summer, it instantly became the biggest game in mobile history. It was so big in fact, that Niantic’s servers just couldn’t keep up with all the players playing the game. And this was in spite of them only launching it in a few countries at a time (of course that didn’t stop many other players from other countries side-loading and playing the game). Pokemon GO has actually lost quite a few of its players since it first launched, but there is still quite a few people playing, and this update may just bring back a good number of players that had stopped playing, for one reason or another.

There’s no word on when exactly this update will be available, but it should be coming out fairly soon, likely in the first week or two of December. As the holidays take up the majority of the end of the month. Pokemon GO should have their update ready for both iOS and Android at the same time though. This is supposedly going to be the “Gen 2” update that has been making the rumor mill rounds as of late, so it’ll definitely be a big one. Niantic Labs and even Nintendo, are hoping that this update will bring people back to the popular mobile game.
