Do you happen to be a Verizon customer looking to upgrade your device? Are you interested in switching providers or are simply trying to figure out how to get the Google Pixel as cheaply as possible? If you’ve answered “yes” to any of those questions, you’ll certainly want to hear about Verizon’s latest deals. The largest wireless carrier in the United States is currently offering not one, but two significant discounts on all of its smartphones.
If you visit Verizon’s online shop and proceed to order a device, type “SAVE20” in the coupon field before confirming your order to lower the price of your purchase by 20%. Several Reddit users confirmed that this works for both new and existing customers, i.e. the discount is even applicable for device upgrades. Another code that has been confirmed to work at the moment is “SMART100”. This one is just as straightforward and will reduce the price of your new phone by $100.
Note that Verizon’s policy doesn’t allow combining of several coupons, so if you’ve already slashed the price of your purchase thanks to a group or employer discount, you won’t be able to use any of the aforementioned codes. This practice also means that the “SAVE20” code is a better option if you’re purchasing a device priced at over $500 while the “SMART100” will save you more money on mid-range and low-end phones. One notable exception to this rule is the trade-in credit which you get for giving your old device to Verizon and which stacks with any other discount. To take advantage of it, put your desired device in the online shopping cart, start the checkout process and you’ll be prompted to submit your old device for trade-in verification before the order is complete. Once submitted, simply enter the coupon code in the related field as usual and confirm your order.
Interestingly enough, Verizon hasn’t particularly marketed these offerings, so it is currently unclear as to how long they will last for. In other words, if you’re planning on getting a new smartphone by the end of the year and don’t have anything against the idea of buying one from Verizon, you would be wise to act sooner rather than later.
