ASUS Is Teasing Their CES 2017 Press Conference

ASUS is teasing their CES 2017 press conference today with a landing page for the details. The teaser resides in their press room website and has big bold letters that make up the word “Zenovation” which seems to be suggesting that they have new and innovative devices to show off at CES since “Zen” is the series name for all of their devices. The press conference happens on January 4th at 11:30 AM pacific time, and although ASUS isn’t giving up any more details in writing as to what they have in store, they do have a video on the page which might allude to some additional information.

The video is titled “Explore The Unknown” which is a bit cryptic, but if you watch the video all the way through they do show off the silhouette of what looks like two separate smartphones, each having a different symbol emblazoned on the display that’s clearly visible. The first symbol looks like an uppercase A but without the line in the middle, so it could be resembling the Greek symbol for the word Lambda. The second device shows the symbol for infinity, so it’s possible that these symbols could have something to do with the names of the devices.

At least in the case of infinity, ASUS has used this naming scheme before for at least a few different devices, so perhaps they have a ZenFone Infinity to show off at the upcoming trade show. ASUS says that their latest innovations will, “expand your vision and stretch the imagination,” which doesn’t really explain a whole lot but it’s seems clear that what ASUS has done with their latest devices is something they feel has never been done before with a smartphone. Considering that, it’s possible these upcoming devices have functions that consumers have never thought possible in a smartphone in this day and age. In addition to the little detail that’s available, ASUS has also placed a countdown timer on the landing page for the teaser, so consumers can see just how long there is left before the company shows off their newest hardware. This teaser follows a series of invites that ASUS began sending out earlier this month for this exact event.
