AT&T's BOGO Promo Offers Free Galaxy S7 & LG G5

BOGO promotions are quite commonplace with wireless carriers these days, and really they have been commonplace for years. For those that are AT&T subscribers, the US’ second largest wireless carrier is offering a BOGO promo that offers subscribers free Samsung Galaxy S7s and free LG G5s. Of course, as customers will know BOGO means buy one get one, and so to get a free device you’ll also have to buy one of the devices first. That said, this makes for a perfect opportunity for plans that have two people or more to grab up a new phone for an upgrade, or add a new line and get a user’s first phone for free.

As is pretty standard with BOGO deals, the phones won’t be free at the time of purchase, but instead customers will have to purchase both phones, and the cost of the second phone is essentially handed back to the customer in the form of monthly bill credits, up to an amount of $695, so the money back is not immediate. While this is great for existing customers who may need to upgrade or simply need a new device, AT&T is making this an even better promotion for anyone who is switching to AT&T from another carrier, as they are also offering a massive amount of bill credits for people that bring their numbers over.

According to AT&T, those who switch will be eligible for up to $650 in bill credits per line, which may help to supplement the cost that customers may incur for having to potentially break a contract, if they have one, and if not, then it just ends up as extra money in their pockets. Having said that, it is worth noting that to be eligible for the credits you’ll need to also trade in your old device and participate in the BOGO, which might make the deal a little bit more limiting to some. There is also one more caveat that customers will want to pay attention to, and that’s the fact that customers will also need to subscribe to an AT&T Next or an AT&T Next Every Year plan for the offer to be valid. AT&T states that the promotion is good from now until December 24th, so it’s clear that this is geared towards customers for Christmas, and anyone interested will want to hop on the deal asap.
