The Xiaomi Mi 6 is the company’s upcoming flagship, and if the latest rumor is to be believed, this smartphone will resemble the company’s current flagship (phablet), the Xiaomi Mi Note 2. The Xiaomi Mi Note 2 was released back in October, and it sports a curved display, and also a physical home key below said display. Well, according to this rumor, the Xiaomi Mi 6 will resemble this phablet quite a bit, but it will be considerably smaller.
The Xiaomi Mi 5 comes with a 5.15-inch display, and it is made out of metal and glass, well, its successor will also be quite compact it seems, and it could ship with a curved display, just like the Mi Note 2. This more or less suggests that a physical home button will, once again, be included on the company’s flagship smartphone, as both the Mi Note 2 and Mi 5 come with such a key. In addition to this, the source says that the phone will be fueled by the Snapdragon 835 SoC, and that it will launch in February next year, as some previous rumors said as well. The Xiaomi Mi 6 will, according to the tipster, ship in two storage variants, both the 128GB and 256GB storage variants will be available to consumers, and the device will launch in Black, White and Blue color variants.
Now, if you take a look at the image included down below, you’ll get to see a phone which leaked back in October. Back then, we thought this is the rumored Xiaomi Mi 5C, which is still possible, but it’s also possible we’re looking at the upcoming Xiaomi Mi 6 here. The display on this phone seems to be curved, and based on the hand that holds it, the device’s display is 5.5-inches or smaller. The home button is also included here, and the phone resembles both the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 and Xiaomi Mi 5. So, this could be the Xiaomi Mi 6, but we’re only guessing, of course, we cannot be sure of it. One thing is for sure, though, we’ll see a ton of Xiaomi Mi 6 rumors and leaks in the coming weeks, as the company will probably introduce the Xiaomi Mi 6 in February during the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona, as they did with its predecessor last year.
