The Xiaomi Mi MIX is one of the most interesting smartphones of this year. This is Xiaomi’s bezel-less smartphone, and as the company refers to it, a ‘concept’ phablet. The Xiaomi Mi MIX was introduced along with the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 back in October, and it comes with a 91.3% screen-to-body ratio, and is the first smartphone to hit such a high screen-to-body ratio. The Xiaomi Mi MIX has no bezels above the display, or on its sides, but it has a small ‘chin’ below the display, where the company included the front-facing camera and some other sensors.
This phablet was introduced two months ago, and the alleged Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 renders have just surfaced. If you take a look at the gallery down below, you’ll get to see quite a few images of the alleged Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 phablet, even though these images don’t seem to be real leaks, they seem more like third-party concept images. The phone showcased in the gallery comes with a 100% screen-to-body ratio, and quite frankly it’s too early for real Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 images to start popping up, which leads us to believe that these are not real, but we’re only guessing, of course. In any case, some spec details surfaced alongside with the device as well, and those details say that this smartphone sports a 6.4-inch display once again, though it comes with a QHD (2560 x 1440) resolution, while the Xiaomi Mi MIX sported a 2040 x 1080 display.
Now, by looking at the images down below, you’ll notice that this device comes with a ‘Telescopic Selfie Camera’, in other words, the camera pops up from the top of the phone whenever you need it to, and it remains hidden until that time comes. The Xiaomi Mi MIX did not sport a front-facing camera at all, so if this info is true, it’s definitely a welcomed addition. The Xiaomi Mi MIX will, allegedly, sport an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, and will ship with Android 7.0 Nougat with Xiaomi’s MIUI 9 OS installed on top of it. That is pretty much all the info that surfaced this time around. Now, as already mentioned, these images seem like third-party renders, so take all this info with a grain of salt, as we’re still far away from the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2’s announcement, presuming Xiaomi intends on introducing a successor to the Xiaomi Mi MIX.
