Galaxy A5 & A7 (2017) Reach Malaysia, Coming To Europe Soon

The Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017) and Galaxy A7 (2017) are now available for purchase in Malaysia. These two smartphones started selling in Russia a couple of weeks ago, and are now available in Malaysia as well. Those of you who live in Europe will be able to purchase them next week, though we still don’t know the exact date. Those of you who live in the UK, however, can already pre-order these two smartphones through MobileFun UK, though the device won’t start shipping until next week either way.

Samsung had introduced three Galaxy A (2017) models earlier this month, the Galaxy A3, the Galaxy A5 and the Galaxy A7. All of these smartphones are mid-range offerings by the company, and the Galaxy A7 (2017) is the most powerful of the pack. It seems like the Galaxy A3 (2017) is not available in Malaysia, and it seems like it won’t become available in Europe either, and interesting enough, it can be purchased in Russia, as it has become available at the same time as the Galaxy A5 (2017) and the Galaxy A7 (2017). In any case, all of these smartphones are made out of metal, and they’re water and dust resistant (IP68 rating), while they also look the same, aside for the fact they come in different sizes. The Galaxy A5 (2017) is priced at RM 1,699 ($384) in Malaysia, while the Galaxy A7 (2017) costs RM 1,899 ($429). As far as the UK is concerned, you can pick up the Galaxy A3 (2017) from MobileFun UK for £299 ($376), while its Galaxy A5 costs £100 more, it is priced at £399 ($502).

The Galaxy A5 (2017) and Galaxy A7 (2017) are actually similar devices, the former one is somewhat smaller as it sports a 5.2-inch display, while the latter one comes with a 5.7-inch panel. Both devices come with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out of the box and Samsung’s custom UI on top of it. Samsung’s Exynos 7880 64-bit octa-core SoC fuels both of these devices, and both of them ship with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of expandable internal storage. Both devices also come with a fingerprint scanner which is built into their home key. If you’d like to know more about these phones, check out our original announcement.
