A new Huawei P10 render has just surfaced, and it actually looks like a render of a phone that leaked back in November last year. As you can see, this smartphone also resembles the Huawei Mate 9 which was introduced at the end of last year, as it sports a home button below its display, and its display is curved on the sides. You’ll also notice the company’s branding above the display, and two physical keys on the right, the power / lock and volume rocker keys.
Now, only the front side of the phone leaked this time around, but as already mentioned, this image resembles the one that leaked in November, and back then, we’ve also seen a back side of the phone. Now, if that leak is to be believed, Huawei actually plans to include a fingerprint scanner on the back, which means that the home key on the front won’t act as a fingerprint scanner, which is interesting. In any case, you can expect to see a dual camera setup on the back of the device, as was the case on the Huawei P9, the Huawei P9 Plus and the Huawei Mate 9. Leica’s lenses will be included on the device as well, as they were on the Huawei P10’s predecessors which launched last year. This smartphone will ship with Android Nougat out of the box, and on top of Google’s OS you’ll be able to find Huawei’s Emotion UI (EMUI) 5.0 skin.
Huawei’s senior VP, Richard Yu (also known as Yu Chengdong), confirmed earlier this month that the Huawei P10 and Huawei P10 Plus will launch in March or April. He also said that we can expect to see Alexa on the two devices, and both of them will support Google’s daydream platform. In addition to all this, Richard Yu said that AI tech will be a part of the Huawei P10 (Plus) package as well. Chances are that the Huawei P10 (Plus) will be fueled by the Kirin 960 64-bit octa-core processor, which is Huawei’s current flagship SoC, and it is powering the Huawei Mate 9. The Huawei P10 (Plus) will probably ship with 4GB / 6GB of RAM, and you can expect to see a QHD (2560 x 1440) display utilized on both of those smartphones.
