LG has just announced the LG X300, this is the company’s new budget smartphone. LG has introduced this handset in the company’s homeland, South Korea, and it’s actually their first handset that comes with the Snapdragon 425 SoC on the inside. This smartphone comes with on-screen buttons, and it has a fingerprint scanner on the back. The company’s branding is placed below its display, and the loudspeaker can be found on the back of this handset.
The LG X300 features a 5-inch 720p (1280 x 720) In-Cell Touch IPS display, 2GB of DDR3 RAM and 16GB of expandable internal storage. This smartphone, as already mentioned, is featured by the Snapdragon 425 64-bit quad-core SoC clocked at 1.4GHz, and that SoC comes with the Adreno 308 GPU for graphics rendering. On the back of the LG X300, you’ll find a 13-megapixel camera, and below it lies the LED flash. A 5-megapixel shooter is placed on the front side of the LG X300, and a 2,500mAh battery is also a part of this package. This phone comes with 4G LTE connectivity, though in its current state, it only supports Korean LTE bands, which was to be expected considering this phone is made for the Korean market, at least for now.
Android 7.0 Nougat comes pre-installed on the LG X300, and on top of it, you’ll find LG’s custom UI, of course. The phone also comes with a curved glass layer on top of its display, and its back side is also curved up to a point. Speaking of its back, the company has included some interesting patterns there which are supposed to prevent scratches, and also make the device less slippery in the hand. The phone measures 144.8 x 72.1 x 8.09mm, while it weighs 142 grams. The LG X300 comes in Dark Blue and Silver color variants, while it is priced at 253,000 Korean Won, which translates to around $216. We still don’t know if LG plans to release this smartphone anywhere else, maybe they opt to rebrand it and release it under a different name in some additional markets later this year, who knows. If the company releases any additional info, we’ll make sure to let you know, of course.
