The Moto G5 Plus has paid a visit to Indonesian TKDN, according to the source, and that seems to be some sort of a certification body in the country. Now, this listing dates back to January 4th, but it’s now making rounds around the internet. This listing more or less confirms the model number of the device (MOTO XT1685), and in addition to that, it reports that the phone will be fueled by the Snapdragon 625 64-bit octa-core processor by Qualcomm, which comes with the Adreno 506 GPU for graphics.
Unfortunately, this listing did not reveal any additional info about the Moto G5 Plus, but thanks to previous rumors and leaks, we do have quite a bit of info, even though nothing has been confirmed just yet. The Moto G5 Plus specifications and pricing leaked yesterday, actually, and according to that info, the Moto G5 Plus will sport a 5.5-inch fullHD (1920 x 1080) display, and we’re looking at a Super AMOLED panel here, it seems. Corning’s Gorilla Glass 4 protection will be placed on top of the device’s display, if the rumored info is to be believed, and the device will pack in 4GB of RAM and 32GB of expandable internal storage. On the back of the Moto G5 Plus, you can expect to see a 13-megapixel shooter, while a 5-megapixel camera will be placed on the device’s front side. The 3,080mAh battery will also be included here, it seems, and Android 7.0 Nougat will come pre-installed on the device, and will come with some software additions by Motorola / Lenovo.
The 3.5mm headphone jack will, reportedly, also be included on the Moto G5 Plus, and the device is expected to launch in Black, Silver and Gold color variants. The device is expected to resemble other Moto-branded devices in terms of the design, and it will probably cost less than $300. The Moto G5 Plus and its smaller sibling, the Moto G5, will probably launch in March this year, though we still can’t confirm that, as the company did not set a date yet, but we’ll report back as soon as some new info surfaces, as per usual.
