According to a new rumor, the Huawei P10 will cost $699, and we’re talking about its most affordable variant. Now, the source claims that this pricing is valid for the 4GB RAM variant of the Huawei P10 which will ship with 64GB of internal storage. These are actually not bad news considering that the most affordable Huawei P9 variant cost $645 last year when it was launched, and that variant of the Huawei P9 shipped with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of native storage. The 4GB RAM variant (+64GB of storage) of the Huawei P9 cost $699, so it basically means that the Huawei P10 won’t exactly be more expensive this time around, Huawei simply upgraded the base model to 4GB of RAM and 64GB of native storage, presuming this info is accurate, of course.
This information comes as a surprise considering a rather interesting rumor surfaced yesterday. According to yesterday’s rumor, the Huawei P10 will be considerably more expensive than its predecessor, but if today’s info is to be believed, that won’t happen. The Porsche Edition Mate 9 will remain Huawei’s most expensive smartphone, which was to be expected considering it costs around $1,500 and is a semi-luxury smartphone. In any case, Huawei is expected to introduce two variants of the Huawei P10 during the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2017 in Barcelona which kicks off at the end of February, if rumors are to be believed, that is. In any case, the Huawei P10 and Huawei P10 Plus are expected to land at the end of February, or the beginning of March, but you can also expect Huawei to launch the Huawei P10 Lite later this year, as they did last year.
The Huawei P10 is expected to sport a 5.2-inch display, while its ‘Plus’ variant will probably come with a 5.5-inch panel. Both devices will be fueled by the Kirin 960 64-bit octa-core processor which fuels the company’s current flagship, the Huawei Mate 9. Chances are Huawei will include two 12-megapixel snappers on the back of the Huawei P10 and Huawei P10 Plus, and Leica’s lenses will be included on top of them. Android Nougat will come pre-installed on these two smartphones, and on top of it, you’ll get Huawei’s Emotion UI (EMUI) 5.0 skin.
