Rumor: Moto G5 And Moto G5 Plus To Launch In India In March

The Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus will launch in India in March, at least according to the newly surfaced rumor. According to iGyaan, the Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus will land in India in two months, though the source did not provide any specific dates, at least not thus far. The Moto G5 Play is expected to be announced after the two devices, though we still don’t know when, perhaps that very same month or in April. In addition to this, the source also claims that the 4GB RAM variant of the Moto G5 Plus will cost Rs. 14,999 ($220) in India, while it will ship in two storage variants, packing in 32GB and 64GB of internal storage.

According to the source, the Moto G5 will resemble the Moto M handset which was introduced last year, at least in terms of the design, which means that the Moto G5 will be made out of metal. The Moto G5 Plus, on the other hand, is expected to sport a 5.5-inch fullHD (1920 x 1080) display, while it will ship with 4GB of RAM and 32GB / 64GB of storage, as already mentioned. The device will be fueled by a Snapdragon-branded SoC, but we still don’t know which one. NFC will be a part of this package if the provided info is to be believed, and the phone will come with an impressive battery life and turbo charging, while we’re looking at a 3,000mAh battery unit here. The 12-megapixel snapper is said to be included on the back of the Moto G5 Plus, while an 8-megapixel shooter is probably be included up front. Android 7.0 Nougat will, allegedly, come pre-installed on the Moto G5 Plus, while the phone is expected to receive Android 7.1.1 Nougat soon after its launch. The Moto G5 Plus will launch in Gold and Silver color variants, while the Matte Black model is also a possibility, says the source.

The Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus handsets will be Motorola’s mid-range offerings, as were the Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus last year. Chances are that both of these devices will be made out of metal, and the Moto G5 will, of course, be smaller than the Moto G5 Plus, even though we really don’t have any spec info to share with you when that phone is concerned, at least not yet.
