Unreleased ZTE BV0800 Dual Camera Handset Clears TENAA

An unannounced, unreleased ZTE smartphone, with the model designation of BV0800, has cleared the Chinese regulator, TENAA. The ZTE BV0800 has already been spotted on the GFXBench website, which revealed some of the device specification, but now that it has been through the TENAA site we have had a much better look at the device. The ZTE BV0800 will be offered in three variants with different internal RAM and storage, including a 2GB RAM, 16GB storage model, a 3GB RAM, 32GB storage model, and finally a 4GB RAM, 64 GB storage model. Each version of the phone will also include a MicroSD card slot that supports up to 128GB of additional storage. All versions will be based around the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 chipset, which features the Adreno 505 GPU and eight ARM Cortex-A53 application cores, clocked at up to 1.4 GHz. The ZTE BV0800 will feature a 5.2-inch, 1080p resolution touchscreen, which is the maximum that the chipset officially supports.

Other additional information about the new ZTE BV0800 includes that the device will also have a dual rear camera set up, featuring both 13-megapixel and 2-megapixel units, plus a 13-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video calling. Both of these camera setups include phase detection autofocus technology and feature FHD, or 1080p, recording. These devices will run Android 7.0 Nougat. The smartphone will come with 4G LTE support, the usual array of Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and GPS radios, and the home button will include a fingerprint sensor. The device will include a 2,730 mAh battery and will be available in four colors: Grey, Silver, Gold and Rose Gold. As such and given these specifications, the ZTE BV0800 is looking like a lower / mid range device. Given the relatively low performance chipset, the BV0800 will not be a gaming powerhouse but with even the entry level model coming with a healthy 2GB of RAM, stretching to flagship-level 4GB for the highest end device, this should be a smooth performer. Although the ZTE BV0800 has now cleared the Chinese TENAA website, a release date is still unclear, as are any details regarding the price and region availability.
