Weekly Poll: Are You More Excited For The LG Watch Sport Or LG Watch Style?

LG hasn’t had a brand new smartwatch in a while, but a rumor recently surfaced which states that they’re partnering with Google for two Android Wear smartwatches which are set to make their debut on February 9th alongside Android Wear 2.0, software which legions of Android Wear device owners are currently waiting for. These watches are to be known as the LG Watch Sport and LG Watch Style, and like their namesakes they’re likely to cater to a particular type of consumer, those which want more of a sporty smartwatch and those which want something a little more classic and traditional that can be worn with just about anything.

Based on the rumored specifications, which include things like 4GB of internal storage for both watches, as well as an IP68 rating for the LG Watch Sport and an IP67 rating for the LG Watch Style, each device is set to deliver a decent, albeit somewhat standard experience in the smartwatch market when it comes to hardware, though each is also set to come with the latest software and could also come with a top notch design for each of their particular corners of the smartwatch market.

While not all of the specs have been rumored yet, it is mentioned that the LG Watch Sport will come with 768MB of RAM and a 1.38-inch display, while the LG Watch Style with come with 512MB of RAM and a slightly smaller 1.2-inch display. The watches are also said to come with a 430mAh battery and a 240mAh battery respectively. Taking these specs into consideration it’s important to remember that it’s certainly possible that they could change. It also seems like both devices will have some features that are unique to each mode, such as straps that can be swapped out on the LG Watch Style and the NFC as well as heart rate sensor for the LG Watch Sport. As mentioned above each watch is said to be unveiled on February 9th alongside Android Wear 2.0, and the rumor goes on to say that the watches will launch on February 10th in the US. There is no detail on prices for either watch just yet but consumers can expect them to cost at least $250 as that tends to be the standard for most smartwatches when they launch it seems. Out of the two, which smartwatch are you more excited for?
