White Xiaomi Mi MIX To Be Launched In China Very Soon

The white-colored variant of the Xiaomi Mi MIX is set to be launched in China very soon. This news comes from Zang Zhiyuan, the marketing director of Xiaomi, who posted a message regarding the device on Weibo, a popular Chinese social media website. In the posting by Zang, it was stated that White Mi MIX will be coming very soon, hinting it will be available for purchase in China soon.

The white-colored Mi MIX was initially announced at CES 2017 in Las Vegas, alongside Xiaomi’s Wi-Fi router and new super slim 4K TV. However, an actual release date wasn’t mentioned by the company at the convention, though the firm did state that the device will be sold exclusively in China, meaning other markets won’t be getting the device. Rumors from China have pointed that the device will be available for purchase sometime in early February, after Chinese New Year, a festival which is widely celebrated by Chinese communities around the world. The white Mi MIX should be priced similar to its black sibling, which was launched in October of 2016, and it packs identical specs to the black Mi MIX.

The Mi MIX is a concept smartphone from Xiaomi and comes with pretty compelling specs, including a huge 6.4-inch IPS LCD display on its front, taking up 91.3% of the front of the device. Powering the Mi MIX is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor coupled with an Adreno 530 GPU to handle graphics. The Mi MIX comes in two storage variants, a 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage variant, and a 6GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage one. For optics, it sports a 21-megapixel camera on its rear with f/2.0 lens, phase detection auto focus, electronic image stabilization and a dual-LED flash, while the front gets a 5-megapixel snapper. A USB Type-C port can be found on the device, with support for Qualcomm QuickCharge 3.0 to juice up the 4,400mAh battery encased within the device. The Mi MIX doesn’t come with an earpiece, instead it uses a cantilever piezoelectric ceramic acoustic technology to replace the function of the earpiece. Connectivity options of the device includes NFC, and 4G LTE which works on US networks, along with an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner on its rear.
