Following Moto G5 Plus’ leak earlier today, the Moto G5 surfaced on K-Tronix as well. This electronics retailer had listed both devices on their site, but both listings have been removed at this point. In any case, we’ve already talked about the Moto G5 Plus, and it’s time to take a look at the Moto G5. This time around we get to see the Moto G5 in the flesh, along with a ton of its specifications. That’s not all, though, Lenovo’s seemingly official press materials also leaked, you can check those out in the gallery down below.
The Moto G5 will be quite similar to the Moto G5 Plus, it seems, though the Moto G5 will sport a 3.5mm headphone jack on the top, unlike the Moto G5 Plus. This smartphone will be made out of metal, just like its larger sibling, and both its power / lock and volume rocker keys will be placed on the right side of the Moto G5. Moto G5’s fingerprint scanner will be placed below its display, and it will probably act as a home button as well. The Moto G5 also comes with a rear-facing ‘oreo’ which contains the phone’s camera and belonging sensor, though unlike the oreo on the Moto G5 Plus, this one does not protrude on the back.
Now, as far as specs are concerned, the Moto G5 will sport a 5-inch fullHD (1920 x 1080, 441 ppi) display, along with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of expandable internal storage. Do keep in mind that the company will probably release more than one RAM variant of this smartphone, though. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 430 64-bit octa-core SoC will fuel this smartphone, and it will be clocked at 1.4GHz. A 13-megapixel shooter will be placed on the back of this smartphone, while you’ll be able to find a 5-megapixel camera on the front side of the Moto G5. A 2,800mAh battery will be a part of this package as well, and it will be removable it seems. Fast charging will be included here as well, and Android 7.0 Nougat will come out of the box. The Moto G5 will ship with a water repellent coating, and Corning’s Gorilla Glass 3 layer will protect the device’s display. The Moto G5 will measure 144.3 x 73 x 9.5mm, while it will weight 145 grams. The provided images also reveal that the phone will ship in Lunar Gray and Fine Gold color variants.
