Galaxy S8 Sign-Up Page Leaks, Shows Design of Device

While the Samsung Galaxy S8 won’t be making its first public appearance at Mobile World Congress this coming week, the device has been a pretty hot topic as of late. There have been leaks galore, and now there’s a new one. This time it’s of the sign-up page for the Galaxy S8. Which normally isn’t a big deal, but this one does show the design of the device, or at least a bit of the design. This leak here is courtesy of Evleaks, so it’s likely that this is sitting in the backend of Samsung’s website waiting to go live (a bit early, since it’s not due to be announced until the end of March).

The sign up page shows what appears to be just the top and bottom bezels of the phone. With nothing on the left or right sides. This is likely because the device will have a curved display, this leaving you with virtually no side bezels. The device is also supposed to have very small bezels and a 18:9 aspect ratio display (read: tall), and that fits the design of this sign-up page quite well. The sign-up page simply says “Unbox your phone” and then talks about signing up to be among the first to know about the Next Galaxy. So Samsung isn’t even stating that this is for the Galaxy S8, but there are definitely plenty of hints. Like the “unbox” portion, seeing as these events are usually called “Unpacked”.

The Galaxy S8 is rumored to be sporting a much larger display, around 5.8-inches, in the same size body as the Galaxy S7. Additionally, it’ll be powered by the Snapdragon 835 processor and 4GB of RAM. Rumors have pointed at it having 64GB of storage and a micro SD card slot as well as getting rid of that home button. In favor of on-screen buttons and moving the fingerprint sensor to the back – which it appears to be next to the camera, a bit far up on the back of the device, especially since most phones have it below the camera. We should know more around the end of March, as that is when the device is rumored to be announced.
