Patchworks is a Korea-based company which has just introduced two new accessories, interestingly enough, these two accessories are cases for the upcoming Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus smartphones. The two cases are called ‘ITG Level’ and ‘Flexguard’, in case you were wondering. These two cases are not exactly the first cases that were introduced for Samsung’s upcoming flagships, we’ve seen a ton of case announcements thus far, Patchworks’ are just one of the many.
Let’s kick things off by talking a bit about the ITG Level case, shall we. This case meets U.S. Military standard drop test requirements, and even exceeds them. The ITG Level case was submitted to various tests, and it can protect the phone from 26 consecutive free fall drops from 4ft (1.2m) at various angles, at least that’s what people over at Patchworks say. This case is made out of two layers, which are made out of polycarbonate and TPU, and is suppose to offer good protection while being quite slim. The Flexguard case, on the other hand, comes with extremely protected corners. This case’s corners are protected by PORON XRD Extreme Impact Absorber (USA), one of the best shock resistant materials out there. In addition to that, the body of this case is made out of Thermal Poly-Urethane (TPU), which is quite flexible and also quite resistant to drops. Both of these cases come with Anti-Slip texture on the sides, which should make it easier for you to grip the phone. The ITG Level case comes in Black and Red colors, while the Flexguard case will be available only in Black. You’ll be able to purchase these two cases in March, according to the company.
Now, if you take a look at the images down below, you’ll not only get to see Patchworks’ cases, but also the Galaxy S8 which is packed into it. Truth be told these are just renders of the device, but they look identical to a number of leaks we’ve seen thus far. The Galaxy S8 will sport really thin bezels all around, curved display on the sides, and its fingerprint scanner will be placed next to the rear-facing camera it seems. Samsung will announce the release date for these two phones during MWC 2017, so stay tuned.
