Adobe has added new features in their Photoshop Express and Photoshop Mix apps via the latest updates to both applications. That being said, the update to Photoshop Express is a good size larger and therefore has more to offer in this new version. That doesn’t mean that Photoshop Mix doesn’t have any new goodies or improvements at all though. As part of the update to version 2.5, Photoshop Mix now has some bug fixes and improvements, albeit without Adobe explaining in detail what these are, and the app also now includes support for Chromebooks, which will be handy for those who have one of the Chromebook models that have access to the Play Store and can thus install Android apps and use them from the laptop. In pairing with this new support, the app also now supports the Chromebook’s keyboard shortcuts, so using the app in general isn’t the only benefit, it will also be easier to use.
When it comes to Adobe’s Photoshop Express application the update is bringing it forward to version 3.3, and alongside the usual bug fixes and improvements that you’ll find here, the app will now straighten your images automatically for you so you don’t have to do this manually.
It’s also now possible to save images to your Lightroom directly if this is another one of Adobe’s smartphone apps that you use, and in regards to saving images Adobe has made it so that you have custom control over the size and quality of the images you have saved after editing them within the application. If you’re the type that likes to share your pictures after you perfect their look, Photoshop Express now allows you to share the images with various social media apps like Facebook and Instagram, or through popular chat apps like WhatsApp, LINE, and WeChat. Photoshop Express already has a decent number of tools that it offers for picture editing but today’s update adds a new one called the Color Reduce Noise Correction tool, which allows you to lower the amount of noise that you might find in an image if it was taken in lower light. Naturally, the update also introduces better performance and a smoother user experience as Adobe states they have update the core image engine. The updates to both apps should already be live in the Play Store.
