We’re less than 5 hours away from the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus announcement, and as it’s usually the case, a ton of info surfaced beforehand. Earlier today we’ve seen a ton of Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus leaks, containing some software details, Bixby info, real life images of the device, and even official certification listings in China. Well, even more info just surfaced, if you take a look at the gallery down below, you’ll not only be able to see detailed specifications for both devices, but also several high-res renders, not to mention that the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus European pricing also surfaced.
Now, let’s get those prices out of the way first, shall we. According to @OnLeaks, the Galaxy S8 will cost €809 in Europe, while the Galaxy S8 Plus will set you back €909 if you choose to buy it. Black, Silver and Purple color variants of the phone surfaced, and you can check all those out in the gallery down below. These images give you a good look at the device from both the front and back side, phone’s curved display, fingerprint scanner, rear-facing camera, LED flash and heart rate sensor are easily noticeable. That being said, you’ll also find detailed spec sheets for both devices in the gallery down below, and it’s time to take a closer look at those. These spec sheets seem to be taken directly from Samsung, as they seem quite official, though they’re in French. That doesn’t matter all that much, though, as the most important parts are easily understandable.
According to the leaked info, the Galaxy S8 will sport a 5.8-inch 2960 x 1440 (571 PPI) Super AMOLED curved display, which will offer Always On functionality. The device will pack in 4GB of RAM and 64GB of expandable internal storage (expandable up to 256GB via a microSD card). This seems to be an Exynos 8895 variant of the device, and a 3,000mAh battery will be included on the inside of the Galaxy S8. Android 7.0 Nougat will come pre-installed, along with Samsung’s custom UI, and the device will offer IP68 certification for water and dust resistance as well. A 12-megapixel shooter (f/1.7 aperture, OIS) will be placed on the back of this phone, and an 8-megapixel snapper will be available up front. The Galaxy S8 will measure 148.9 x 68.1 x 8mm, while it will weigh 152 grams.
The Galaxy S8 Plus, on the other hand, will sport a 6.2-inch 2960 x 1440 (529 PPI) Super AMOLED curved display, and will pack in 4GB of RAM and 64GB of expandable storage as well. This smartphone will also ship with IP68 certification and Android 7.0 Nougat, while you’ll get the same SoC here as in the Galaxy S8. A 3,500mAh battery will be included in the Galaxy S8 Plus, and this phablet will also pack in 12-megapixel rear-facing, and 8-megapixel front-facing shooters.
