HTC’s new U Ultra flagship will start shipping to buyers who pre-order it in the United States on March 10, according to the company’s new promotional website that just went live. The page not only reveals when pre-orders will begin shipping to eager buyers but also highlights all of the phone’s major features and even reveals what consumers can expect when they open the box of their brand new device. More specifically, HTC revealed that the U Ultra will ship with a pair of USB Type-C headphones that incorporate HTC’s new sonic audio profiling technology.
As expected, the HTC U Ultra is priced at $749 in the United States. For that price, you’ll receive the phone itself in either Blue, White, or Black, along with the aforementioned headphones, a USB Type-C cable, a charging dongle, a microfiber cloth, and a clear, soft case. Along with all of the material goods, you’ll also receive HTC’s complimentary Uh-Oh Protection which will provide you with a peace of mind in the event that anything happens to your new flagship device. Users who get their hands on the HTC U Ultra and decide it’s not for them can return it within 30 days and receive a full refund without having to answer any questions, the Taiwanese phone maker said.
The U.S. promotional website for the HTC U Ultra also informs potential buyers that they can get a discount on the device if they trade in their old handset. Team HTC members will get a slightly better deal, but HTC’s wording implies that just about anybody who trades in any working device can expect to get some cash back. Buyers have the option to get a free, no-obligation quote on their device before deciding whether to exchange it for a discount on the HTC U Ultra. If you decide to send in your current device, you will still have to pay the full price for the HTC U Ultra but will receive a kickback at a later date once your old device has been properly processed. Pre-orders are still open, and sales will start on the same date on which HTC starts shipping its latest Android flagship.
