LeEco has just released a teaser for their upcoming smartphone, and the company is focusing on battery life with this one it seems, in addition to performance. The company’s teaser actually mentions a balance between battery life and performance, and has been shared via the company’s official Weibo (Chinese social network) page. The image itself is not exactly too interesting, as it does not give us any hints as to what will this smartphone look like, but there you have it.
So, what device is LeEco teasing here? Well, considering they mentioned a balance between battery life and performance, we somehow doubt the company is trying to hint at their new flagship, the LeEco Le Pro4, which is due to land next month. This could be a teaser for one of the company’s more affordable, devices, maybe a mid-range smartphone with a rather big battery? Well, it is possible, recent rumors did hint at a LeEco-branded smartphone with the Helio P27 on the inside, so this could be the device. The Helio P27 is one of MediaTek’s newest mid-range processors, and it’s quite a powerful SoC, that’s for sure, but it’s not a flagship processor by any means. This smartphone will almost certainly be made out of metal, and you can expect to see on-screen buttons on it.
Now, a recent rumor suggested that the LeEco Le X850 will launch on April 11th, though that is not the device LeEco is teasing, at least if the rumors are accurate. The LeEco Le X850 is expected to ship with the Snapdragon 821 SoC, not the Helio P27. In any case, the upcoming LeEco-branded smartphone will probably sport at least a 4,000mAh battery, and you can expect to see 3GB or 4GB of RAM on the inside of this smartphone. The device will probably sport a fullHD (1920 x 1080) display, though we don’t know how large will it be. Do keep in mind that these specs are only an educated guess at this point, based on the fact that this will be a mid-range handset. That is more or less it, all we can do at this point is wait and see what will LeEco announce, so stay tuned.
