OPPO Intros F3 Plus In India, A Dual Selfie Camera Phablet

OPPO has just announced a new smartphone in India, the OPPO F3 Plus. This handset has leaked quite a few times thus far, and it turns out those leaks were more or less spot on, same goes for rumors as well. The OPPO F3 Plus is a mid-range, metal-clad smartphone and comes with a dual camera setup, but not on its back. The OPPO F3 Plus sports two cameras on its front side, which is quite interesting, read on.

This is more or less the ultimate selfie phone, or at least OPPO wants you to think it is. The OPPO F3 Plus sports one 16-megapixel and one 8-megapixel shooter up front. A 16-megapixel camera is OPPO’s main front-facing snapper, while an 8-megapixel sensor comes with a 120-degree wide-angle lens, which will come in handy if you’re looking to get a bunch of people into a single shot. OPPO’s ‘Beautify 4.0’ is also included here, and it’s supposed to enhance those two cameras even further by improving images that you take via software. Now, the OPPO F3 Plus also comes with a rear-facing camera, of course, and we’re looking at a 16-megapixel rear-facing snapper here. OPPO opted to include Sony’s IMX398 sensor in the rear-facing camera, a customized 1/2.8-inch sensor which was developed exclusively for OPPO by Sony, says the company. You’re getting an extra-wide f/1.7 aperture here, and this camera is also supposed to be really fast when it comes to taking shots, as it comes with a dual PDAF focusing technology.

The OPPO F3 Plus is a rather large device, this smartphone sports a 6-inch fullHD (1920 x 1080) IPS display, along with 4GB of RAM. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 653 64-bit octa-core processor fuels the OPPO F3 Plus, while you’re also getting a non-removable 4,000mAh battery here. Speaking of the battery, OPPO’s VOOC Flash Charge quick charging technology is included here as well. Android 6.0 Marshmallow comes pre-installed on the device, and on top of it, you’re getting OPPO’s ColorOS 3.0 UI. The OPPO F3 Plus measures 163.63 x 80.8 x 7.35mm, while it weighs 185 grams, says the company. The device comes in Gold and Black color variants, and we still don’t know how much will the phone cost, OPPO India’s website did not share such info.
