Smartphone accessory manufacturer OtterBox is now offering protective gear for the LG G6 in anticipation of the smartphone’s market release on April 7. The list of OtterBox accessories for the LG G6 currently includes a rugged Defender Series Case, an ultra-slim Symmetry Series Case, and an Alpha Glass screen protector for LG G6’s impressive 5.7-inch FullVision display. Both cases have been extensively stress-tested and are backed by the company’s Drop+ Protection certification.
The OtterBox Defender Series Case for the LG G6 is accompanied by a price tag of $59.95. At the moment the case is available only in black, but other color options will be launched at a later date for the same price. This includes a gray case with blue elements called ‘Marathoner’, a blue-gray flavor called ‘Moon River’ and a third ‘Vinyasa’ color option based on purple. According to the manufacturer, the OtterBox Defender Series comes with a built-in screen protector to prevent scratches on the 5.7-inch panel and offers three layers of rugged protection designed to prevent damage from bumps, drops, dirt, and so on. For future LG G6 owners looking for a slicker case, the OtterBox Symmetry Series might fit the bill for the price of $49.95. The Symmetry Series for the LG G6 is available in black, as well as a dual-color option called ‘Saltwater Taffy’ which combines blue-gray elements with a predominant rose pink back panel. Lastly, the OtterBox Alpha Glass screen protector promises “flawless clarity” and anti-shatter capabilities for the price of $39.95. The Alpha Glass screen protector is manufactured from tempered glass and polyester, and the package includes tools required for simple installation.
The LG G6 is a rather unusual smartphone in the fact that its 5.7-inch display features an aspect ratio of 18:9.
