Samsung has just announced the Galaxy A5 (2017) and Galaxy A7 (2017) in India. These two handsets were originally introduced back in January alongside the Galaxy A3 (2017), and they’ve just landed in India. The two phones are identical to its international counterparts, no different in that regard. That being said, the Galaxy A5 (2017) is priced at Rs. 28,990 ($434) in India, while its sibling costs Rs. 33,490 ($502) in the country. Both devices will become available for purchase starting on March 15th, in case you’re wondering. That being said, let’s see what these two phones have to offer, shall we.
The Galaxy A5 (2017) is the smaller of the two smartphones, as it sports a 5.2-inch fullHD (1920 x 1080) Super AMOLED display. This phone also packs in 3GB of RAM and 32GB of expandable internal storage. The Galaxy A3 (2017) is fueled by the Exynos 7880 64-bit octa-core SoC clocked at 1.9GHz, and a 3,000mAh battery is also a part of this package, while it comes with adaptive fast charging. A 16-megapixel shooter is placed on the back of the Galaxy A5 (2017), while you’ll be able to find a 16-megapixel shooter on the front of this phone as well. A fingerprint scanner is built into the phone’s home key, which is placed below the display, and there are two SIM card slots included in this package as well. Android 6.0 Marshmallow comes pre-installed on the Galaxy A5 (2017), and on top of it, you’re getting Samsung’s very own UI, of course. The Galaxy A3 (2017) comes with IP68 certifications for water and dust resistance, while you’ll find a Type-C USB port on the bottom of this smartphone. Samsung’s Exynos 7880 64-bit SoC fuels this smartphone as well, and a 3,600mAh non-removable battery powers the phone, while fast charging is also included. This handset comes with the same camera setup as the Galaxy A3 (2017), while there are also two SIM card slots here, and the device comes with Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box with company’s very own UI. IP68 certification for water and dust resistance is included here as well, and the device measures 156.8 x 77.6 x 7.9mm.
