Samsung’s Galaxy J7 2017 will hit Sprint, AT&T and other carriers at some point in the future as two new recent tweets from Evan Blass mention the names of this device for each respective carrier. The 2017 model of the Galaxy J7 will apparently land on AT&T and Cricket Wireless, as well as Sprint, Boost Mobile, Virgin Mobile, Verizon Wireless, and Tracfone. For AT&T and Cricket Wireless, the phone will allegedly be called the Galaxy Express Prime 2, though for AT&T it will be a prepaid service phone and not offered as a standard postpaid service device by the sounds of it.
For Verizon the Galaxy J7 2017 will keep its regular name and will be offered to both prepaid and postpaid customers, and on Tracfone it will be called the Galaxy J7 Sky Pro. When it comes to Sprint and its two MVNO carriers, the phone will reportedly be named the Galaxy J7 Perx. The Galaxy J7 2017 was already suspected to be coming to at least some U.S. carriers as it was rumored back at the end of February that the device would launch on both Verizon and Tracfone. Even earlier than that, Samsung had trademarked the name Galaxy J7 Sky Pro, it just wasn’t known at the time where this variant of the device would be headed.
While the names of the device are mentioned for the various wireless networks that will eventually sell the phone to consumers, there is no mention of a launch date for any of the carriers at the moment so if the Galaxy J7 2017 had you particularly interested you’ll have to wait just a little bit longer before those details are likely made public. Also absent is any mention of price point for the phone on any of the networks that are reportedly going to be carrying it, but this isn’t one of Samsung’s high-end devices so consumers shouldn’t be expected to pay a whole lot out of pocket for one, especially compared to the prices of Samsung’s flagship devices, and most of the services this phone will be associated with will be prepaid-based, so that would also suggest a lower price. That being said, it is still a Samsung phone so it could still command more than a couple hundred dollars to pick one up.
