Samsung’s Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus will seemingly cost £799 & £899 in the UK, which converts to about $981 and $1,103 USD respectively. Having said that, the USD pricing is merely the converted pricing for the two phones at online UK retailer MobileFun, and not likely what the actual costs will be for either device in the U.S. In fact, chances are that the prices for the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus will end up costing $799 and $899 as the rumored costs for the two phones in Europe were also set at these prices in Euros according to a leak from yesterday.
Considering yesterday’s leak and today’s leaked prices for the phones through the online UK retailer, it seems possible that the prices will be uniform across a number of the regions where Samsung plans to launch their new flagship devices. Cost aside, the listings for both phones are for a 64GB model, and alongside the internal storage that’s listed a handful of other specifications are detailed. While the specs have been rumored numerous times before now, the specs in the retail listings match up with what’s been previously rumored, and they mention that the Galaxy S8 will come with a 5.8-inch display while the Galaxy S8 Plus will come with a 6.2-inch display.
Both phones are also listed as coming with 8-megapixel cameras on the front while having 12-megapixel cameras on the back, QHD resolution for the screens, IP68 certification, and expandable storage via a microSD card slot. The retail listings also mention 4GB of RAM, a 3,000mAh battery and a Snapdragon 835 processor, but most of these specs were already suspected as being incorporated into the device. Black is the only color that’s shown as an option for purchase over at MobileFun, but yesterday’s rumors also mentioned that there would be Silver and Violet models available, however it wasn’t mentioned whether or not all three colors would make it to every region where the phones are sold. Alongside the listings for the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus, the retailer also has several listings for various Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus cases, ranging from £5.99 to about £49.99. Both phones are labeled as being available for pre-order status only at this point and there is no mentioned shipping date, but interested customers can set up to be notified once the phone is in stock.
