Samsung has just released the Unpacked 2017 application, and it’s now available in the Google Play Store. This application has been released because the company will host their Unpacked 2017 event on March 29, and during it, we’ll get to see the Galaxy S8 announcement, while the Galaxy S8 Plus will almost certainly going to be announced alongside it. Samsung already confirmed the date for the Unpacked 2017 event, and the official app is now available as well.
Samsung will host this year’s ‘Galaxy S’ Unpacked event in New York, and most of you won’t be able to participate, which is why Samsung released this application. This app will bring you all the latest news from the company’s Unpacked 2017 event, and it includes a countdown timer as well. The details about the event are included here as well, such as the location, date and time of the New York event, and the satellite event in London as well. If you’re planning to attend, you can sign up with your registration code, and confirm you’ll be attending the event. Samsung’s recently released teaser video is also available here, and we presume that a live stream will also be available through this application, even though the company did not confirm anything of the sort just yet. Thanks to a number of rumors, leaks and reports, we pretty much know what to expect when it comes to the Galaxy S8. Samsung’s all-new flagship will be made out of metal and glass, and will sport really thin bezels all around. Samsung will ditch the physical home button and capacitive keys this time around in favor of on-screen keys, and the device will sport a physical ‘Bixby AI’ button on the left, which is the company’s all-new AI assistant it seems. Android Nougat will come pre-installed on the Galaxy S8, and on top of it, you’ll get Samsung’s custom UI. The Snapdragon 835 will fuel the Galaxy S8 in some markets, while Samsung’s Exynos 8895 SoC will be in charge of that in other markets, we’ll probably get more info regarding all that on March 29, so stay tuned.
