T-Mobile Brings Back MLB.TV Premium on April 4th, For Customers

T-Mobile has just announced that beginning April 4th, their customers will be able to sign up for another year of MLB.TV’s Premium subscription, which will allow you to unlock all of the features of the MLB At Bat app for Android and iOS, but also watch many of the games on your smartphone for free. T-Mobile has been offering this up for the past few years actually, and it’s a perk that many customers have absolutely loved.

This year, T-Mobile is loading up the MLB.TV subscription through their T-Mobile Tuesdays app, so that Tuesday of Opening Week, you’ll be able to redeem your subscription. It’s a bit unfortunate, especially for those that were hoping to get their hands on the subscription ahead of Opening Week and check out Spring Training, which is going on right now. T-Mobile does state in the fine print that the subscription is good until February 28th, 2018. Which is pretty generous seeing as the season ends in October with the World Series. Which last year saw the Chicago Cubs win the World Series for the first time in 108 years, that was a mighty large drought they had in the Windy City.

With the premium subscription to MLB.TV, users will be able to watch out-of-market games, as well as having live-game DVR. So if you need to pause the game to go and run some errands or maybe get some more snacks, you can do so without missing any of the game. You’ll also be getting all of the MLB All-Star Weekend festivities including the Home Run Derby, and of course the All-Star game. That is perhaps the biggest game of the year, before the playoffs start in October with the divisional series.

Many were wondering if T-Mobile was going to offer the MLB subscription to their subscribers again this year, and they most definitely are. This is part of their partnership with the MLB to be their sponsor. Similar to how Verizon is the official sponsor of the NFL and Sprint for NASCAR. It’s a great way for T-Mobile to give back to their customers, but also for T-Mobile to promote their brand, which has done extremely well lately.
