As many of you already know, Samsung will announce their new flagship tomorrow in New York and London. The Galaxy S8 Plus will probably launch alongside the Galaxy S8, and those of you who are interested in checking out Samsung’s press conference, well, you’re in luck, as Samsung will live stream the whole thing. We’ve embedded a link below this article which will come in quite handy when Samsung’s event stars, so if you’d like to watch it, bookmark this, and come back tomorrow at 11EST (8AM PST / 5PM CET) to see the company’s most powerful handsets. Do keep in mind that you can watch Samsung’s live stream through the company’s Unpacked 2017 application, or their official website, if that’s what you prefer.
Both the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus have been leaking like crazy for the past couple of months actually, though those leaks became incredibly intensive in the last couple of weeks. The Galaxy S8 will be made out of metal and glass, and the same can be said for its larger sibling, which will essentially be identical to the regular Galaxy S8, but will be larger and will sport a larger display and battery because of it. Samsung will utilize two processors for the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus, though their availability will be market-dependent. If you purchase one of the two devices in the US, chances are you’ll get the Snapdragon 835 variant of the Galaxy S8 (Plus), while the Exynos 8895 will fuel these two smartphones in Europe and some other regions. We’re only guessing, though, Samsung still did not confirm anything, but this is an educated guess based on how Samsung handled things in the past.
The Galaxy S8 smartphones will ship with Android Nougat out of the box, with Samsung’s custom UI on top of it. The two devices will sport a curved Super AMOLED display, and chances are we’re looking at panels with a resolution of 2960 x 1440 here. The Galaxy S8 will sport a 5.8-inch display, if rumors are to be believed, while the Galaxy S8 Plus is rumored to feature a 6.2-inch display. The ‘Plus’ variant will be considerably larger than the regular model, but both devices will sport really thin bezels, and will be quite compact considering how large their displays are. That is more or less it, the link is down below, so stay tuned.
