British wireless carrier Three UK announced it’s opening pre-orders for the Huawei P10 and the P10 Plus on Thursday, March 23. The smaller Huawei P10 will be priced at £499.99 ($620), while the P10 Plus will sport a £599.99 ($744) price tag, the company said. Both figures refer to the pay-as-you-go (PAYG) rates of the devices, while Three UK has yet to disclose how much the Huawei P10 and the P10 Plus will cost with a contract. There’s still no word regarding how long the pre-orders will be open for, though Three UK will likely offer them until at least the end of the month. Both the Huawei P10 and the P10 Plus are expected to start shipping to consumers by April. The Berkshire-based mobile service provider noted that new customers looking to purchase one of Huawei’s latest Android devices have a number of added benefits to take advantage of, including the Feel at Home option that allows them to use their device in 42 foreign countries without incurring additional charges. Consumers looking to purchase either the Huawei P10 or the P10 Plus from Three UK will be able to choose between Prestige Gold and Graphite Black variants of the handsets.
Three UK’s announcement comes shortly after Vodafone UK already opened pre-orders for the Huawei P10 and the P10 Plus last Thursday. While announcing its new flagship duo at this year’s Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona, Huawei confirmed that the P10 and the P10 Plus will be sold by all four major carriers in the United Kingdom, as well as Carphone Warehouse. More details on the UK availability of Huawei’s latest pair of Android smartphones are expected to follow soon.
The devices themselves are powered by the Huawei-made Kirin 960 system-on-chip (SoC) and feature an identical rear dual camera setup consisting of a 20-megapixel sensor and a 12-megapixel one. The Huawei P10 sports a 5.1-inch FullHD display, ships with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of storage space, while the P10 Plus features a 5.5-inch QHD screen and comes in two variants with 4GB and 6GB of RAM, respectively. The more powerful model of the P10 Plus also boasts 128GB of internal storage, while the 4GB variant sports 64GB of storage.
