Xiaomi Mi 6's SIM Card Tray Leaks, Hints At Waterproofing

Xiaomi will probably launch their new flagship, the Xiaomi Mi 6, next month, and yet another piece of the Xiaomi Mi 6 puzzle has just surfaced. As you can see, the Xiaomi Mi 6’s sim card tray actually leaked out, and the one below it belong to the Xiaomi Mi 5, at least according to the source. Now, the Xiaomi Mi 6’s SIM card tray is similar to the one that belongs to the Xiaomi Mi 5, but unlike it, it comes with some rubber attached to it which is supposed to prevent water from coming into the phone, which suggests that the Xiaomi Mi 6 will be water resistant.

Now, if we had to guess, the Xiaomi Mi 6 will probably ship with IP68 certification for water and dust resistance, which has become a standard these days. This SIM card tray seemingly also reveals that the phone will offer support for two SIM cards, and chances are you will be able to use one of those two slots in order to expand the phone’s internal storage. Now, in addition to this image, some rumors also surfaced, and they’re claiming that the phone will ship without a 3.5mm headphone jack, which is a possibility, especially considering Xiaomi’s wireless Bluetooth earbuds leaked as well (image down below), and if rumors are to be believed, these earbuds are made for the Xiaomi Mi 6, even though they’ll work with more or less every other modern smartphone, of course.

The Xiaomi Mi 6 rumors and leaks are off the hook, we’ve been seeing so many different Xiaomi Mi 6 designs, that it’s hard to know what to believe, same goes for rumors, actually. We still do not have an exact launch date for the Xiaomi Mi 6, but chances are it will launch next month, rumors are claiming that it will land on April 11. The Xiaomi Mi 6 will be fueled by the Snapdragon 835 64-bit octa-core SoC, and it will ship with Android Nougat out of the box. The device will be made out of metal and glass, or only metal, depending on which rumor / leak you opt to believe in. The device will sport a 5.2-inch fullHD (1920 x 1080) display, at least according to rumors, and a dual camera setup has also been rumored, so keep that in mind.
