Xiaomi might launch the Xiaomi Mi Pad 3 in the near future if the newest info is to be believed. It seems like the company teased their upcoming Mi Pad 3 tablet on their official Taobao page, at least according to ITHome. The source says that Xiaomi did not directly mention the next get Mi Pad product, but that they indirectly hinted it’s coming. So, there you have it, it seems like the Xiaomi Mi Pad 2’s successor might land in the near future, and it’s about time considering that Xiaomi launched the Mi Pad 2 back in November 2015.

That being said, Xiaomi launched two smartphones yesterday, and also their first mobile processor. The Xiaomi Mi 5c and Redmi 4X are the two phones Xiaomi announced, and the Pinecone Surge S1 is the name of their first mobile processor. The Xiaomi Mi 5c is actually fueled by this chip, and we’re looking at a mid-range SoC, both according to its specifications, and to Xiaomi. So, could this chip fuel the Xiaomi Mi Pad 3 as well? Well, it is possible, though it’s more likely that Xiaomi might opt to include a more powerful processor in the Xiaomi Mi Pad 3. In any case, we’ll have to wait for the company’s official confirmation in order to be sure, but we do have some leaked spec info to share with you.

According to previous rumors, the Xiaomi Mi Pad 3 will sport a 9.7-inch 2048 x 1536 display, just like its predecessor, and it will be only 6.08mm thin. Intel’s Core M3-7Y90 SoC was rumored to fuel Xiaomi’s tablet, and the device is rumored to sport 4GB of RAM and 128GB of native storage. Type-C USB port will almost certainly be located on the bottom of this tablet, and you can expect to see a 13 or 16-megapixel camera on its back. Now, these specs leaked quite some time ago, so do take this info with a grain of salt, it is possible that we’ll get a completely different spec sheet.
