Best Tablets & 2-in-1s: April 2017

We did not really see many tablets and 2-in-1s released in the past month, so the list remains quite similar to the one we compiled last month. The Galaxy Tab S3 joined this list last month, and it’s still at the very top of the pecking order, but there are a number of other really compelling tablet and 2-in-1 devices on this list which are worth checking out. 10. NVIDIA SHIELD Tablet K1

Despite the fact it was released way back in 2015, the NVIDIA SHIELD Tablet K1 is still on this list. This tablet is currently available from Amazon, and costs around $199, though it’s availability is scarce. The NVIDIA SHIELD Tablet K1 sports an 8-inch display, 2GB of RAM and a rather understated design. Android 7.0 Nougat update has already landed on this tablet, and the tablet originally shipped with Android 5.0 Lollipop.

9. Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2016)

The Galaxy Tab A 10.1 is essentially a more affordable alternative to the Galaxy Tab S3. This tablet costs significantly less than Samsung’s flagship offering, and it comes in two variants, one with the S Pen stylus, and one without it. The variant with the S Pen can be purchased for $294, while the variant without it costs even less than that. This tablet sports a 10.1-inch 1920 x 1200 display, 2GB / 3GB of RAM and it is fueled by the Exynos 7870 64-bit octa-core SoC.

8. Google Pixel C

The Google Pixel C is Google’s very own tablet, and despite the fact it was launched way back in 2015, it’s still quite pricey. This tablet can be purchased for a little over $600 through Amazon, and even though that’s quite pricey, this tablet offers really solid build quality, and it comes with stock Android. The Google Pixel C features a 10.2-inch 2560 x 1800 display, 3GB of RAM and it is fueled by the NVIDIA Tegra X1 64-bit quad-core processor.

7. Acer Chromebook R 13

The Acer Chromebook R 13 is, as its name says, a Chromebook. This device comes with a 13-inch fullHD (1920 x 1080) display, and it can run Android applications, which will certainly be a positive for those of you who are looking to buy it. This device is fueled by MediaTek’s MT8173C Core Pilot quad-core processor, and it can be purchased from Amazon for $399, just in case you’re interested in getting one.

6. Sony Xperia Z4 Tablet

The Sony Xperia Z4 Tablet is still one of the best Android-powered tablets out there at the moment. This tablet has been available out in the market for quite some time now, and it comes in both 4G LTE and Wi-Fi only variants, both of which are available for purchase through Amazon. The first variant costs $659, while the second one is currently unavailable, but it will be available again soon, hopefully. This tablet sports a 10.1-inch 2560 x 1600 display, 3GB of RAM and offers IP68 certification for water and dust resistance.

5. ASUS Chromebook Flip C302

The ASUS Chromebook Flip C302 is yet another solid option if you’re in a market for a new Chromebook. This Chromebook costs $499 on Amazon at the moment, and it comes with support for Android apps. 4. Samsung Galaxy Tab S2

The Galaxy Tab S2 might not be the latest and greatest tablet from Samsung, but it’s still a great offering, that’s for sure. This tablet is available in several variants, as it comes in both 8-inch and 9.7-inch variants, not to mention that you can choose between Wi-Fi and LTE models. The Samsung Chromebook Plus and Pro belong amongst the best Chromebooks out there. The Chromebook Pro is still not available, though, but the Samsung Chromebook Plus definitely is. This device comes with a rotatable display (just like the Chromebook Pro), and it can run Android applications.

2. Lenovo Yoga Book

The Lenovo Yoga Book is a versatile tablet, if we can call it that, that comes with Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box. The device sports a 10.1-inch 1920 x 1200 display, while it packs in 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. Intel’s Atom X5-Z8550 SoC runs at 2.4GHz and fuel this device, while you’ll need to splash out $429 if you’d like to purchase the Lenovo Yoga Book.
