HTC had announced yesterday that the HTC U flagship will be announced on May 16, and a new concept for that phone just surfaced. The name of this concept phone is the ‘HTC 11’, which is basically the HTC U, as it’s a successor to the HTC 10 that was announced last year. In any case, this concept phone was created by the Concept creator, which is a YouTube page dedicated to smartphone concepts. In any case, let’s take a look at this phone, shall we.
If you check out the embedded video down below, you’ll be able to see the newest HTC 11 aka HTC U concept, and as you can see, the phone looks quite sleek. This is a metal-clad smartphone, and even though the HTC U will not look similar to this, it’s always nice to check out such, nicely designed smartphones. This handset comes with a dual camera setup on the back, which we’ll talk more about in a minute. A dual-LED, dual-tone flash is placed next to the phone’s camera snappers, and so is the laser autofocus. The company’s branding is placed on the back of the phone as well, and the device’s power / lock key is located on the right side of this phone. Now, speaking of the phone’s cameras, the designer envisioned 19-megapixel and 12-megapixel sensors here, the 19-megapixel sensor is actually Sony’s Motion eye camera, while the 12-megapixel snapper is an UltraPixel sensor for low light photography.
This phone comes with really thin bezels all around, and the display is slightly curved on the sides. Unlike the upcoming HTC U flagship, this handset does not sport a fingerprint scanner below the display, or any button for that matter. Now, as far as specs are concerned, the HTC 11 concept sport a 5.5-inch QHD (2560 x 1440) display, along with 6GB of LPDDR4 RAM and 64GB / 128GB of native storage. The device is fueled by the Snapdragon 835 64-bit octa-core processor, and sports a 3,920mAh battery on the inside. HTC’s BoomSound speakers are also included in this concept, two of them, which is a nice addition. All in all, this is a very nicely designed smartphone which won’t become a reality, which is a shame, but that’s basically always the case with such concepts.
