Ming-Chi Kuo is an industry analyst, and he has just released some interesting notes on the upcoming Galaxy Note 8. Mr. Kuo says that the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 will sport a dual camera setup on the back, which means it will be the first Samsung-branded smartphone to offer such functionality. Ming-Chi Kuo also says that the dual camera setup will be the most important upgrade for the Galaxy Note 8, while he also shared some info on the camera sensors as well, read on.
According to Ming-Chi Kuo, the Galaxy Note 8’s cameras will feature 3x optical zoom, and we’ll be getting 12-megapixel and 13-megapixel rear-facing shooters on the device. The 12-megapixel wide-angle CIS supporting dual photodiode (2PD), and a 13-megapixel telephoto CIS, both of which will offer OIS supports, and we’re looking at dual 6P lenses here. Mr. Kuo is emphasizing how great this camera will be, though we’ll have to wait and see for ourselves, of course. Now, the Galaxy Note 8 will also sport a rear-facing fingerprint scanner, and will, allegedly, feature a 6.4-inch QHD+ AMOLED display, while it will be fueled by the Snapdragon 835 or the Exynos 8890 SoC, depending on the region, just like the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus. Now, in addition got talking about the Galaxy Note 8 and characteristics, Mr. Kuo said that market feedback has been better than expected as far as the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus are concerned, It seems like KGI is increasing 2017 shipment predictions for the company’s current flagship smartphones, from between 40 and 45 million units, to 50 and 55 million units, which is quite a jump.
Now, some of you might not know this, but KGI previously said that the Galaxy S8 “lacks attractive selling points”, and it seems like the company, and Mr. Kuo, changed their mind regarding Samsung’s all-new flagships. Presuming nothing goes extremely wrong for Samsung this year, their batteries do not explode and what not, we can expect really high sales figures for the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus, same goes for the Galaxy Note 8 which is expected to launch later this year, probably in August or September.
